Re: Tom Garvey

I have had the pleasure of working around Tom for the last two years. I was the original hiring manager that brought Tom into SSA as a consultant for the Version 5.0 AS/SET basing project. As a member of the AS/SET basing team, Tom was on of the key, "senior" members.

I feel that Tom is:

• Very technically competent. As a member of the V5.0 team he was relied upon heavily to produce above his "quota" of programs to keep the rest of the team on track. He did this consistently and with a minimum amount of overtime.
• Very dedicated to the task / project at hand. Tom gave the project his all and was committed to both an on time completion and a high quality product. Even though as a contractor, he did not participate in SSA's quarterly bonus program, I regularly watched him assist SSA professionals reach their objectives.
• Extremely reliable in the performance of his job. I could count on Tom being here and ready to work. He kept very regular hours but also paid attention to what was going on to know when additional time was required. He took responsibility for his position on the team.

Overall I was very happy working with Tom. I found him to be an excellent team member He knew what his role in the team was and fulfilled it excellently. I hope that some time in the future I have the opportunity to work with him again.
