Dear Jerry:

This letter is to inform you that we cut over to the Y2K compliant version of our BPCS software two weekends ago. The transition was almost seamless and the Project Manager, Greg Nalepka, delivered a congratulatory letter commending the efforts of all those who were involved.

You may recall that this is the software that we shipped to you early in the year. You used the 28 year technique to prepare it for the coming millennium. During the summer we used your AutoTester product to test both systems' consistency, our existing system and the Y2K version. After a short learning curve the testers grasped the technique of AutoTester and gave the software a vigorous workout.

We had the luxury of having a development box and we installed the software on it. This enabled us to manipulate the date without impacting production systems. We tested with all of the significant dates, 12-31-1999, 1-1-2000, 2-29-2000, 12-31-2000, 1-1-2001, etc. We found some problems but you were able to rectify them in a timely manner.

The bottom line is this: You did what you said you would do, you did it without a hassle, and you did it right.

Thank you and all of the UPI people involved for a job well done and please consider us as a reliable source for future reference.

Sincerely,

Anthony J. Maro
Manager of Electronic Commerce
