To Whom it May Concern:
The Royal Canadian Mint hired Ed DeHarde [of Unbeaten Path] in 2002 to perform an assessment of how effectively we were using the manufacturing portions of the BPCS ERP. Initially, this was a short assignment requiring BPCS manufacturing expertise and third-party objectivity. Ed was accepted by all management and staff involved, almost immediately, and his quick insights demonstrated both an excellent appreciation of manufacturing processes and industry best practices, and an in depth knowledge of the BPCS manufacturing system.
We were extremely impressed with his recommendations and with the positive feedback received from all levels of staff involved. Eds recommendations were accepted enthusiastically, and with his guidance, we embarked on a number of manufacturing related ERP Optimization initiatives. Ultimately, Ed worked with the Mint, on and off, over several months, guiding and advising team leaders and the IT group, and we accomplished much. The value that Ed added was significant, and the payback clear.
I would highly recommend Ed on any BPCS manufacturing assignment. His in-depth
knowledge of the system, and ability to apply that knowledge to industry specific situations is only surpassed by his people and subtle leadership skills. He was a joy to work with, and has many friends at the Royal Canadian Mint.
